Focus on Agriculture cookbook available

Orders for the Ag 194Y Focus on Agriculture Cookbook are currently being taken at the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Management at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo. Big Island residents may purchase a book for $12.00, or it can be mailed statewide for $15.00 per book.

The cookbook is a result of the Fall 2002 semester's Thursday evening TV cooking class hosted by Dr. Jack Fujii. Chefs and other personnel from various restaurants in the State of Hawai`i were invited to demonstrate preparation of various dishes using locally produced agricultural products.

"The cookbook contains a good mixture of ethnic recipes that will undoubtedly satisfy and cater to the novice and experienced cook," Fujii said. Also included are recipes contributed by students enrolled in the course.

Please call (808) 974-7393 if interested in purchasing a cookbook. Checks should be made payable to UH Hilo and sent to: Dr. Jack K. Fujii, UH Hilo College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Management, 200 W. Kawili Street, Hilo, HI 96720-4091.

Also available are cookbooks from the previous semesters. An order form will be mailed upon request by calling (808) 974-7393 or fax (808) 974-7674.
