The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) offers a pair of workshops on Adobe Photoshop Elements with professional videographer and graphic designer Artin Mardirousi. Sessions are 1 – 3 p.m. in UH Hilo’s PB-7 (SeniorNet Lab). Tuition for each workshop is $75.
Part 1 (July 11-14) is designed for new Photoshop Elements users and will cover photo album organization, exposure, cropping, white balance, removing imperfections, and correction techniques. Participants will also create print-ready photo albums to showcase their work. No prior Photoshop experience is necessary, but basic computer experience is required and a flash drive is recommended.
Part 2 (July 19- 27) will teach participants how to harness the power of Photoshop Elements by focusing on useful tools and applications such as content aware (erasing people), masking (cutting and pasting people into different places), combining multiple pictures for the perfect group shots, liquefying images, and more. The course will also cover some multimedia functions such as video slideshows that can be burned to DVDs.
To register and for more information, contact CCECS at 932-7830 or email email@example.com.
