Introductory Apple Mac workshop to be held in Hilo

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) conducts a two-day, hands-on workshop providing a general introduction to computers with special emphasis on the Apple Macintosh system. Sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 22, and Thursday, September 24, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in UCB 125 Mac Lab. Tuition is $65.
Instructor Evan Clark will teach participants the basic features necessary to operate a Macintosh computer (iMac/MacBook Pro/Mac Air) with the latest Yosemite operating system. Through hands-on instruction, students will become familiar with navigating through windows (Finder), saving documents, loading photos (Photo), navigating the Internet (Safari), transferring documents from USB drives, backing up files (Time Machine), organizing contacts and calendars (Contacts and Calendar), and much more. A USB drive and the ability to operate a Mac computer are required.
