2012 Summer Session Tuition Rates
- Undergraduate resident - $248 per credit (reduced this summer)
- Undergraduate WUE and Pacific Island Students - $299
- Undergraduate non-resident - $350 per credit
- Graduate - $458 per credit (regardless of residency)
UH Hilo Summer Admission Requriements
To attend Summer Sessions at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, students submit an application for admission, and upon approval, register for courses. You are eligible to apply for admission if you are a high school graduate, have a GED equivalency, or you are a current or former student of a regionally accredited US college or university with a college degree in good academic standing. Advanced high school sophomores or juniors may also apply. See section on High School Students.
There is no application fee. Student applications for Summer Session must be completed 7 days before the start of the course(s) he/she intends to register for.
Who needs to apply?
- Current UH Hilo student in good academic standing can register for summer classes without completing the summer application.
- Current UH Hilo student graduating in the spring from UH Hilo must complete an application before registering for summer classes.
- Current UH System students, other than those at UH Hilo, in good academic standing must complete an application before registering for summer classes.

How to Apply
- Complete and submit our online application. No application fee.
- Complete and mail in the application included in the Summer Session Catalog. No application fee. Mail completed applications to:

- Or in person at the UH Hilo Admissions window, at the Student Affairs Building. No application fee.
- International students must also complete the following forms. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing. No application fee.
- After your summer application has been processed, you will be notified via email of your enrollment status. Once students are admitted, they must create a MyUH username (email address) and password.
- Check your UH email account frequently, as any updates or corrospondence regarding UH Hilo Summer Session will be sent there.
