The department of geography and environmental sciences leads field method courses and conducts research that
utilizes sensor technologies, field station data, and Global Positioning Systems.
The department accesses the spatial data analysis laboratory (SDAL) for advanced courses and research in geo-spatial
technologies. The laboratory is utilized to apply state-of-the-art technology for research and teaching using digital
image processing, remote sensing, geographic information systems, cartography and visualization, and spatial modeling.
