Description

Supervised student teaching and professional development experiences in local schools. Supervised observation and teaching with an emphasis on advanced lesson and unit planning.

Objectives

There are eight phases of field experience:

  • Active Observation/Participation
  • Pre-Supervised Solo
  • Supervised Solo I
  • Solo I
  • Supervised Solo II
  • Solo II
  • Supervised Solo III
  • Solo III

Evidence/Products

Advanced lesson and Unit Plans. During the different stages such as supervised solo and solo teaching, the teacher candidate must demonstrate competency in long range planning by submitting weekly plans to the Cooperating Teacher.
