ED 620, Individual Differences: Learner Characteristics

Description

Systematic study of the conceptual framework of inclusive education which consists of special education, gifted and talented education and compensatory programs. Emphasis will be placed upon individual student characteristics and strategies for effective instruction.

Objectives

  • To investigate and identify the individual differences of students in our schools and classrooms.
  • To pose significant questions about the role of the school and teacher in accommodating individual differences in the school and classroom.
  • To design and test appropriate, research-based strategies for meeting individual needs of the students in our classrooms.
  • To successfully use technology in meeting the information needs of ourselves and our students.
