ED 485, Seminar in Teaching II
Description
Analysis and discussion of common management and instructional concerns of beginning teachers by students teachers and their supervisors. Individual identification and analysis of teaching problems.
Objectives
ED 485 is designed to provide opportunities for Teacher Candidates to intellectualize their teaching experiences, deepen their insights into the nature of human behavior and the learning process, increase their understanding of themselves and others, improve personal and professional competencies, and develop satisfying and productive interpersonal relationships within university and school communities.
Through collaborative problem solving, common problems and experiences are shared and discussed, and probable causes and solutions are suggested. Seminar discussions are focused on helping Teacher Candidates perceive the relationships between theoretical understanding and their own experiences in the classroom.
