UH Hilo Graduate Council Agenda, November 7, 2008

1. Approval of minutes of 10/31/2008 meeting
2. Report by Graduate Program chairs on list of their programs’ faculty, and on the procedure used by the program to identify/add faculty.
3. Need policy on requirement that Graduate Division receives annual report from Graduate Programs on a timely basis (suggest report for each year should be due by July 1 following the academic year).  Have only received one report from 2007-08 thus far.
4. Continuation of discussion on faculty workload issues related to graduate education.
