What is Distance Learning?
Distance learning, or e-Learning, provides students across the Big Island and the state of Hawaiʻi with the opportunity to take programs or courses online or by vidoeconferencing offered by the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.
UH Hilo also offers outreach through face-to-face credit and non-credit classes off the main campus at the North Hawaiʻi Education and Research Center (NHERC) located in Honokaʻa. Besides face-to-face classes, NHERC offers courses through video conferencing, has a computer lab, and provides community service events.
