West African Dance

In this upbeat and energetic class, longtime dancer and teacher Michal Carrillo will lead students through the joys of traditional West African dance. Focusing primarily on the dances from Guinea, West Africa, students will learn multiple dance moves to traditional rhythms as well as receive a good introduction to West African culture. This class is open to all levels—beginners to advanced.

Feb 8-Apr 19, Fri, 6-7:30pm, UH Hilo Old Gym, 10 classes, $90, $25 percussion fee payable to instructor at class.
