Japanese Taiko Drumming

Learn about the art and spirit of taiko drumming from one of Hilo's best: Chad Nakagawa current leader of Taishoji Taiko. This class is open to anyone above the age of 8 and no experience is necessary. You will learn the basics of taiko and taiko drum making as well as "Renshu", a basic practice song. In addition, you will learn "Kore Kara", an open sourced piece. Be prepared to learn a lot while working out your body and having a good time.

June 10-Aug 12, Mon, 5-7pm, UH Hilo Old Gym, 10 classes, $65, $10 materials fee payable to instructor at class.
