Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
MBSR focuses simple yet powerful practices of body scan, meditation, and gentle mindful yoga to help you to discover a deeper sense of wellness, balance, self-reliance and freedom. Taught by Bernie Schreck, a longtime instructor of meditation and mindful living, this class is for anyone interested in being proactive about their health and wellbeing. Daily home practice assignment will be given. Participants will need their own yoga mat, light blanket and cushions to sit on. A Mindfulness-Stress based Stress Reduction Workbook by Bob Stahl, Ph.D. and Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D is required and is available on Amazon.com for $16. This workshop is normally offered for $500 but will be run through CCECS for a much lower price. Take advantage of the huge discount and the long term benefits to your body, mind and spirit.
