Fitness For Life - University of Hawaii at HiloThis short but informative workshop will give basic instructions on growing a vegetable garden, including which vegetables thrive in warmer or cooler seasons. Learn about soils, fertilization, transplanting vs. direct seeding, as well as common diseases and insect pests. Taught by Hawaii Tribune-Herald garden columnist Nick Sakovich, retired farm advisor for University of California Cooperative Extension and former Administrator of Master Gardener Programs.
