UH Hilo Home > Academics > College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS)

Prepare your school and students for tsunami hazards. Through the use of online videos and quizzes you will become knowledgeable about the nature and impact from the hazard; tsunami characteristics, the Tsunami Warning System; and specific preparedness, response measures, and action operations. A certificate will be given upon completion of the course.  Instructors Dr. Walt Dudley, professor of Oceanography and tsunami specialist, along with his daughter, Malika Dudley, certified meteorologist and multi-Emmy-nominated television personality, bring an enthusiastic teaching style to this online course.
